We are happy to announce our second speaker at DanMUN Conference 2019!
Adérito R. Vicente is a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Political and Social Sciences (SPS) at the European University Institute (EUI). He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, and a M.A. with distinction in International Relations from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA).
His research interests include nuclear disarmament and strategy, European foreign and security policy, transatlantic relations, and U.S. foreign policy. He is working on a dissertation about EU’s nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation policies. Adérito is also involved in Europe in the World programme, part of the Global Governance Programme at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. Furthermore, he has diplomatic experience in the European External Action Service as a political officer.
At DanMUN Conference 2019 he will talk about “The Future of the JCPOA” from a European perspective. The lecture will include the origins of the Iran Deal and the role that the EU had and has, as well as future challenges of the JCPOA. Also, taking into account the implications of Trump’s administration position about the Iran deal and the consequences of US recent secondary sanctions.
